Which Nikon wide angle: 14-24 or 16-35 VR?

I wanted the ultimate all-around lens that I could use during the day and night. I will say right off the bat that this is not the best lens for night photography, the Rokinon lenses and the Nikon perform better, BUT read on to understand why this will be my go-to lens…. Below are a ton of sample images taken at different focal lengths and apertures. For comparison the Rokinon 14mm has similar vignetting and the Nikon has very little vignetting.

This lens does not have much distortion to deal with as you can see above with the lens profile applied to fix the distortion. The has less and the Rokinon 14mm has extreme mustache distortion. The only negative is the 82mm filter size, all of my lenses previously were 77mm so I had to do some upgrading. The is considered to have the best sunstar out there, although the is very good as well. The close focusing distance is very nice atTo conclude this review I have to say that I absolutely love this lens, it will never leave my bag.

Best lens for landscape photography Nikon

It is my go to lens for landscape photography and my most favourite. The lens has many good qualities and there are a few downsides. Overall, the disadvantages are overshadowed by the advantages. It gained popularity quite quickly and has since been a go to lens for photographers who like to shoot wide angle. The good thing is that you can zoom up to 35mm which almost brings it in to the category of being a mid-range mm lens.
